Cookie Policy

Last updated: May 1, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how Baxter Research Group (“BRC,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) uses cookies and similar tracking technologies on the PulseCheck platform (the “Service”). This policy should be read in conjunction with our Privacy Policy.

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device (computer, tablet, or mobile phone) when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work more efficiently, provide a better user experience, and give site owners useful information about how their site is being used.

Cookies can be “persistent” (they remain on your device until they expire or you delete them) or “session” cookies (they are deleted when you close your browser). Cookies can also be “first-party” (set by the website you are visiting) or “third-party” (set by a different domain than the one you are visiting).

2. How We Use Cookies

PulseCheck uses cookies for the following purposes:

2.1 Essential Cookies

These cookies are strictly necessary for the Service to function properly. Without these cookies, core features like signing in, navigating between pages, and maintaining your session would not work. You cannot opt out of essential cookies because they are required for the Service to operate.

  • Session Token: Maintains your authenticated session so you remain signed in as you navigate between pages. Expires when you sign out or after 24 hours of inactivity.
  • CSRF Token: Protects against cross-site request forgery attacks. Regenerated with each session.
  • Cookie Consent: Remembers your cookie preferences so we do not ask you repeatedly. Persists for 12 months.

2.2 Analytics Cookies

These cookies help us understand how visitors interact with PulseCheck by collecting information about which pages are visited, how long users spend on each page, and how users navigate through the Service. This data is aggregated and anonymized, meaning it cannot be used to identify you personally.

  • Page Views: Tracks which pages you visit within PulseCheck to help us understand feature usage and identify areas for improvement. Data is anonymized before storage.
  • Performance Metrics: Measures page load times and responsiveness to help us optimize the Service. Data is retained for 90 days.

2.3 Preference Cookies

These cookies remember choices you make to provide a more personalized experience:

  • Dashboard Layout: Remembers your preferred dashboard configuration and display settings.
  • Timezone: Stores your timezone preference for accurate display of timestamps in reports and alerts.
  • Notification Preferences: Remembers which types of in-app notifications you have enabled or disabled.

3. Third-Party Cookies

We use a limited number of third-party services that may set their own cookies:

  • Stripe: Our payment processor uses cookies to process payments securely and prevent fraud. These cookies are governed by Stripe's own cookie policy.
  • Analytics Provider: We use a privacy-focused analytics service to understand aggregate usage patterns. This service does not use cookies for cross-site tracking and does not sell data to third parties.

We do not use advertising cookies or allow third-party advertising networks to set cookies on PulseCheck.

4. Managing Cookies

You have several options for managing cookies:

  • Browser Settings: Most web browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings. You can typically set your browser to refuse cookies, delete existing cookies, or alert you when a cookie is being set. Consult your browser's help documentation for specific instructions.
  • Essential Cookies: Please note that disabling essential cookies will prevent PulseCheck from functioning properly. You will not be able to sign in or use the Service if essential cookies are blocked.
  • Opt-Out: You can opt out of non-essential cookies at any time through the cookie preferences settings available in the footer of our website.

5. Similar Technologies

In addition to cookies, we may use other similar technologies:

  • Local Storage: We use browser local storage to save your dashboard preferences and UI state. This data remains on your device and is not transmitted to our servers.
  • Session Storage: Temporary data stored during your browser session to support navigation and form state. This data is automatically cleared when you close your browser tab.

6. Updates to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or in applicable law. When we make changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
